MRI Services

Southeast Veterinary Specialists provides the latest technology in digital image acquisition for our patients. Our hospital houses an Open MRI unit. This unit allows three-dimensional imaging of patients enabling visualization of pathology that would otherwise go unnoticed. Due to the necessity of general anesthesia for image acquisition, we do require that the patient be referred through one of our specialty services for examination and client information. Animals with stainless steel implants in the area to be imaged are not candidates for MRI. Microchips will cause a small amount of image distortion, however are not a problem in most cases.

Dr. Beth Partington is a board certified veterinary radiologist. She interprets our radiographs and MRIs and provides written reports for our medical records. Dr. Partington also performs ultrasound services by appointment only on Thursdays.
