Directions

From New Orleans or Baton Rouge via I-10

Take the Causeway Blvd. North exit and stay to the right toward the intersection with Veterans Hwy. Left turns are not allowed onto Veterans at this intersection, so you will need to go through the intersection to the U-turn under the bridge. Make the U-turn to the left (under the bridge), come back to Veterans Hwy., and turn right. Division Street is the 4th traffic signal after you turn onto Veterans. Turn right on Division Street and our building is located on the right.
**The Causeway Blvd. exit is under construction, therefore these directions may change. Follow the signs to Causeway Blvd. North, and proceed to Veterans Highway.

From Mississippi Gulf Coast via I-10

Take I-10 to Slidell and follow it into New Orleans. Take I-610 toward Metairie and follow the signs to the Airport and Baton Rouge. When you get into Metairie on I-10, follow the directions above.

From Mississippi via I-55

Take I-55 South to LaPlace. Take I-10 East into New Orleans, and follow the directions above.

From Baton Rouge or Mississippi via I-12 and the Causeway Bridge

Take Causeway Blvd. South. After you pass 17th street, stay in the right lane to the intersection at Veterans Hwy. (in front of Lakeside Mall). Turn right onto Veterans Hwy. Division Street is the 4th traffic signal after you turn onto Veterans. Turn right on Division Street and our building is located on the right (1/2 block off of Veterans).

How do I get a referral?

Southeast Veterinary Specialists sees cases on a referral-only basis. It is important to see your veterinarian first to determine if referral is necessary. Your veterinarian can refer you to our hospital online at www.svsvets.com or by phone at 504-219-0444. After your veterinarian has notified our reception staff of the referral, you may call to set up an appointment at your convenience. It is always helpful if your veterinarian can fill out a referral form with the history of his/her findings and treatments. A copy of our referral form can be downloaded in .pdf format here. Please bring copies of any pertinent laboratory results and radiographs to your appointment.

Try to arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out paperwork.
